thanks. not so happy with the composition of this one, i had some bright red flowers tothe right that would have picked up his red markings well but he wouldnt comply. still, its technically pretty good.

on a side note...the 105 was frustrating me cos of backfocus until i adjusted the AF using AF fine tune. its absolutely spot on now. when i first heard of AF fine tune thought it was a gimick. it absolutely works perfectly. i'm impressed. in a shot like this at f11 and what looks to be a dof of around 2-3cm's, those micro adustments are the difference between a keeper and trash.

thats at 180mm btw, (105+1.7tc), and its still very sharp.

A girl was having trouble dealing with the stress of year 12 so her friends threw her a picnic in our botanic gardens. They didn't mind me taking a snapshot and I thought the picnic gae some counterpoint to the background.

Rooz, I think I prefer the angle of the other shot of your son on Flickr. Both are very nice though. The last couple macros are also excellent. Probably pretty normal for you, but excellent for us humans.

I commented on liking the larger than life angle too, can't use your pp prowess to bring it up?

Still sorting old shots. A much more pleasant job now that I've got more than 512MB of RAM

The lions at the zoo in a small enclosure behind thick close set bars but I got most of him in shot by stretching out to maximum reach near the bars.

Without a proper bird lens I resorted to photographing Native Minah birds that come and steal scraps of food at the botanic gardens kiosk. I don't really go there for sour cream and wedges at $9.00 for a big bowl. Honest Well not now I'm dieting anyway.

500ml I like birdie 2 a lot. Great soccer shot K1W1 and Rooz that first shot of Lucas is lovelly.
