That's pretty cool Rooz. A unique perspective. The color is great as well. How long does it take you to get a shot like that (set up lighting, chase the spider around the log, etc.)?

lighting is pretty easy for me now. just screw the R1 kit onto the lens and mount the sb900. thats that. to adjust on subject you just move the sbr's around on the mounting ring or click them at different angles which again, is very easy.

for stationary stuff i shoot manual flash and thats a bit more fiddling around to get the levels just the way i want. cant do that with moving stuff though.

45mins of looking, then i found him on my monopod's QRP.

    picked him up

put him on a branch where i want him...

look up and see blue sky and clouds to the right..."hmmm wonder if i can get him in the sky" then pick him up and move him over again.

the whole thing, (without the waiting/ searching time), took around 10mins and about 40 shots.

Wow Rooz, Now that I know you've been learning PP I was suspecting you'd added the clouds in post because they look so much sharper than the trailing edge of the post. We'll done for doing it in cam. Beautifull shot..

Taken at the WEROCK event at Rausch Creek, PA a couple weeks ago.

This was the Unlimited Class (which means they can build the vehicle however they want as long as it meets the safety requirements) shootout (shootout is when the top 6 competitors go head to head on an insane course to try and get more points).

    This buggy was the winnar!!
