Thats not good, you will not like most of the shots then. There was next to nothing to put in the foeground for composition. Got a lot to learn from you, dennis and Phil. You guys make it look easy.

Not much of a gauntlet, all flat land where i live. Haven't seen mountains since I got my camera. Your zoo project seems to be coming along nicely.

Hey I can do this.
Wilsons Promontory from Cape Liptrap. The land on the horizon at the right is the southernmost point of mainland Australia.

Rooz - I would be a little nervous in a cage with that beast as well.
K1W1 - Looks like a nice right-handed point break down there with no one on it. If that was California there would be 100 surfers battling for that wave.

Ah, the good life. Nice shots. I checked out the set on Flickr. My favorites are the one you posted here and the 2nd to last one on Flickr. In some of the pictures, they look kind of evil though. Aren't the meerkats the ones that stand on their hind legs to look for predators? Didn't get any shots of them doing that? Maybe there's not enough dogs (or whatever eats them) in the enclosure at the zoo to get that shot...

Nikonians, lovely images.
Rooz, the eagle images are stunning ... and you lying in meerkat sh*t paid off at the end in terms of good images, though your wife (or girlfriend?) probably complained when you came back home

i screwed up that whole set unfortunately. the evil looking little critter was one guy who's been in the wars and has a deformed mouth so you can see his teeth. he was the bravest of all of them and just wouldnt get away from the front of the lens. lol
