Nice view perhaps, but not much fun in freezing weather hiking through 1.5 feet plus snow with 100 lbs equipment. I don't miss those days though I sort of miss the parachuting.
Here is one of my first pictures with my D60 ... I know I know it's not the best (I’ve seen some pretty amazing picks here), but I’m still pretty happy with it ...
All comments are appreciated, anything to help me get better ...
Very cool shot of the chopper and the sun, The whole scene makes me think of some of the end of the world sci-fi movies I've seen with the sky color.
Thanks for the comments on the re-touching, I agree, not having any hair as I do or don't as the case may be I can appreciate the addition. And yes taking out the window could be done fairly easily. But my primary focus of the exercise was to see how good I could re-do the damaged skin.
Actually very little cloning was done. This was the product of several layers with a soft bursh set at 20% opacity and using the skin color for the brush, and changing shades slightly with each layer. Then simply painting away the blemishes. I've tried patches and the healing brush etc and was never happy with the results, but I finally figured out layers allowed me to get the shading and texture I wanted and by using multiple layers I easily control the effect. And if I got careless it's easy to take a layer out and start over.
I also agree it's not totaly real as to how he looks today, but at one time in his life it was probably close, and most of us would like to be remembered in pictures at our best.
In addition I'm getting more requests for blemish removal, so another reason for the exercise. My reason for putting it here is I felt I would get a good critique, which I have, thanks again.

Decided to check out and add a couple more of the ti-double-gr photos... Here's one of the photos. Also sort of reminds me of rawpaw's photo the way the "paws" are stretched out.
