    It's funny how some pictures get swallowed up by the rest of the thread and never get commented on. *wink wink*

    But anyway! I love that one r3g. Those types of pictures have always fascinated me...does anyone know why the car never shows up in the image?

    Thx. Are you asking why you dont see a trail of the car along with a trail of the lights? Thats actually a good question.. Never thought of that.

    I think it's to do with the brightness of the tail lights causing the image to be registered on the CCD.
    Think of the Aperture / Shutter speed you would need to photograph JUST the tail light compared to the overall scene.
    If you took the same photo in the daylight with the same shutter speed you would still not see the car as anything other than the very faintest blur.

    btw i don't crop images because when i print them out at ritz if they are cropped they want to crop them MORe. so i keep them the way they are and crop them when i print them out. just a heads up.
