Ok - I am overdue, and also, since my laptop is on the blink, I might not be able to post for a few days. So I am posting a few...
I got to visit the zoo without any kids!!! Here are a few that I really liked.
All shots taken with Nikkor 18-200mm VR --edit--(VR ROCKS by the way - all hand-held..)--/edit--
Thanks in advance for suggestions / feedback!
#1 (inspired by Kellie) Tiger shot.
ISO 500
200mm @ f/11
1/80 sec
#2 Silly me, didn't write down what kind of bird, but it is kewl.
ISO 200
170mm @ f/5.6 (wanted shorter DOF)
1/200 sec
#3 Gorilla (this was tough because of the bright overhead sun casting shadows and highlights)
ISO 200
200mm @ f/5.6
1/200 sec

That probably would have been a great candidate for HDR. Did you use a fill-flash?
