The Australian moon is upside down . Here's a picture of the moon we have in the Netherlands .
Taken at f/11 on a tripod at a shutterspeed of 1/200". It is not a 100% crop, more like 80%.

And the moon looks different again to those of us in the US! Here is my first attempt at a moon shot. I think its further away since this was all I got at 300mm.

my original pix is also that big. I took the pix at 10mp to have the luxury of cropping it. :-) (cheater).. neways, I am not an expert, but try to adjust the contrast, brightness, and sharpness. :-)
