Fun at the fair with 12x zoom

Took these last night hand held. The first wide shot shot was taken using the fireworks setting (f4, 1/6s, iso100) as I'd been trying to get some fireworks shots & forgot to change settings. This is the first time I've tried one of the scene modes. The 12x zoom shot was taken in normal programme mode IS working overtime in both cases I think.

    Close up

    Here's the 12x shot (f2.8, 1/20s, iso 80). I'm much happier on the ground

Good fairground shots Phill D. Have you decided on a side camera yet?

Thanks Tim, unfortunately the fireworks shots I took on the same night didn't work anywhere nearly so well. As for the extra camera I had decided to get a Fuji F30 as you did but we are having our house extended at the moment & the cost has just gone up so I'm afraid the camera has gone on hold for a while.
