Hi I am looking for a simple point and shoot camera to use to take pictures of my friends when we go out or just for simple portraits. I was looking at either the SD700IS or SD800IS because I like Canon cameras. Which one of thsese would you recommend? Maybe a different one?

I will spend up to 400.

Small, compact, I want it to fit in my pocket nicely.

I would like IS, I seem to get a lot of blurry pictures when I take them.

So what's the hesitation? You are looking at a 6MP and a 7MP camera. 800 IS has wide angle of 28 mm.
Just remember to use flash indoors and IS only works on stationary subjects.

Critics of 800 IS say it has softer edge and has more noise on the image.
