Question about gallery pictures

Hi!, I´m deciding which camera to buy and i found this site´s galleries very helpful not only because of the quantity of cameras and pìcs but also because most of the pictures are taken exactly in the same places which makes the comparison process easier. Im actually deciding if buying a camera with Image stabilization is worth the price and i was wondering if the pictures in the galleries are all taken with the hand or with the help of a tripod or some kind of support, Thankx!!

Unless otherwise noted, all gallery photos are handheld. The test shots in the review itself are taken with a tripod.
