    Help a Digital Newbie!!!!

    Hey All,

Just got a Sony DSC-H2 after many years of shooting a Canon EOS Rebel 35mm.

All my pics look great on the camera and on my computer. Just for grins I emailed a really cool photo of a bee, to my local Walgreen's just to see how their printing would work. I requested an 8x10. Originally the photo was farther away and I zoomed in and cropped it after it was on the computer. The print came out fuzzy and weak. I was not impressed. The guy at the store said it was because I zoomed and cropped after the fact. What do you think? He said that if I had taken the pic up close with the macro setting it would have come out better. It's a 6 megapixle camera with a 12x optical zoom. What's the trick to getting the photos to look as good on paper as they do on screen? I have an HP inkjet 4215 printer and haven't tried printing anything myself since I'm low on ink. Also, where, how, etc do most of you print your good photos that you want to frame and display?

    Thanks a bunch!
