good software to upload and resize a group of pics?

I'm using my Casio software that came with the camera....Photo Loader and Photohands to upload and resize my photos. I wanted to find out if there was better software that I should be using, especially when resizing photos. Right now I'm resizing my photos using "Photohands", but when I take 50 or so photos at a time it can be very time consuming resizing individual photos. It would be better if I could resize them as a group. Any suggestions will be appreciated. Thank you.

On the topic of resizing digital photos. I was wondering if there was an ideal size to shrink your digital photo to? Usually the photos are about 1.85mb (2560width-pixels, 1920height-pixels) when they are uploaded from my digital camera and i almost always resize them down to about 134kb (600width-pixels, 45height-pixels). Is there a "better" size, maybe a little smaller but will still portray a great image?
