    driver problem

    hello, i am running windows xp. i have a canon S3 IS and it cant get it connected to my pc. earlier in the week it was connecting fine and then the past few days it just will not connect. i think i may have a driver problem. where do i go from here.

    Double check the camera is set to PTP mode.

    Check for any errors in device manager, if there are any then remove them, reboot and connect the camera again and let Xp "redetect" it.

    If no errors, then with the camera connected, see if there is any listing for the camera in device manager, if so , remove it, reboot and see if camera is detected.

    If none of those things work, system restore back a couple of days till you said it was still working..

    If still no joy, buy a $10 card reader and use that instead.
