What to do with a broken DSC-P31?

I dropped my camera at my halloween party. When I picked it up the LCD screen was all whitish-pink. Every picture it takes now is whitish pink. However, I know the LCD is ok because I could still view the pictures on the LCD that were already on there. I can also see the setup/menu screens just fine. I'm thinking something got knocked loose between the LCD and the lens.

As I am not going to be paying the flat rate of $171 + s/h, I am going to adventure into the insides of my camera. Will anyone here be my guide or at least tell me what I should be looking for? The camera is way out of warranty and I figure I can't make it any worse.

Any help or idea are appreciated. (I am an eletrical engineer, but not an electronics engineer.)

Oh and by whitish-pink, I mean a flat white-pink background. The camra does not register any images or light sources that I point it at.
