    Etna eruption

Great shot. You must have felt the radiant heat.

Please explain your vantage point, method.

    Were you at physical risk?

    Thanks for posting.

    Will visit Sicily someday,

    Regards, Nicholas

    Hi, Nicholas
Location is on bottom of SouthEast crater of Etna.
I'm very close to magma river (3-4 mt.), 200mt from crater.
The wind was from east to west, then my south position was not excesive expose to lava heat. I wasn't physical risk too much...

    Shots data:
    Tripod (Manfrotto 055PROB, head 322RC)
    Canon Eos D60
    Ef 17-40 f4 L @ 30mm f6.3
    Iso 800
    1/13 sec.

...sorry for my not good english...
