and here comes some more.. this will be the last set which happens to be a group of my favourite fireworks that night =)

I like how the tips on these guys kinda deviate/scatter near the end.. it creates a 'flamey' effect i think.

This one was almost near the finale.. or final burst. They set off several or maybe even more than 10 at a time.. very very nice. (sorry about the smoke..)

These has to be my favourite shot of the night.

Thanks truflip - The grasshopper actually rode on my boys arm around the campgrounds while he was riding his bike. It finally jumped off after a while, but not until I got the shots!

Frog actually is in a little water which helps the softness / sharpness differential.

Great shots guys! Haven't have much chance to shoot anything because I was too preoccupied trying to adjust.

Just got myself Macbook Pro, My head's still spinning because I have to re-learn everything! After using DOS/Windows for so long, its ike learning a whole new life philosophy

Here are my test shots of AEB (Auto Exposure Bracketing) from Saturday: http://upload.pbase.com/flipmarc/aeb
AEB01 - 06 are the digitally blended pictures. The files ending with A & B are the orginal pictures of the blended picture I used Photomatix Pro to combine the pictures.

Two shots: Standard exposure (left); Positive exposure (right)

Below is the digitally blended picture:

    Macro shot

    truflip, nice fireworks!
danielg, wow! i envy the macbook. but i am still a PC person.
FLiPMaRC, i dont know anything about EAB. I will study about it so i will know what to look for in your picts. nice shots, btw.

Just finished making another miniature action landscape for my 1:144 scale mini Leopard tanks. Took some shots just a few minutes ago. Here's using only bare S-macro of S3IS (ISO80, f/8, 6 mm, 1.3 sec, vivid). The first tank is about 1 inch away from the lens. Used desk lamp for lighting, tripod, and 10sec self-shot. Also used my jeans that i shake rapidly to be blurred and create a nice sky blue background. Only some PP on level and contrast (no crop, only resize).
