Back Up Battery for Nikon D50
I am going on vacation to Alaska and would like a spare / back up battery for my Nikon D50.
What is the best suggestion?
Where can I bet the best deal on a En-EL3a for the D50 or is there a beter option?
Thanks,
Mike

When it comes to batteries I have a tendancy to pay the extra $$ for the Nikon branded EN-EL3a. If something goes wrong at least I know who to complain to. I have 3 so I have one in the charger one in my bag and one in the camera. When I travel, I carry all 3, and depending on the length of the trip and my planned shooting I may also bring the charger.
For emergency, I also carry a loaded MS-D70 which uses 3, CR2's which can be found almost anywhere. They are not cheap, but better than the alternative, and 2CR's have a shelf life of 8-10 years.
Hope this helps.
