49mm Filter Adapter tube for TZ1
I made one myself, from the top of an aerosol can, and an old 49mm 85B filter I had floating around, after smashing out the glass:

The tube is a "snap fit" onto the TZ1's bezel ring around the lens, and seems to be pretty secure once it's in place. I made mine a little too long to be optimum - mine is 1 - 3/16" long, it seems like the "optimal" length would be more like 1.0". As it is, there is a little vignetting at full wideangle, offset by cracking the zoom lever a nudge to eliminate. If I were doing it again, I'd also use a filter that had a thinner profile (in the direction of the threads), to allow the whole assembly to be as short as possible. I don't have a set of 49mm filters, but I'm hoping to do some IR photography with a Hoya R72 filter, and was even wondering if my Nikon 6T closeup lens would work, albeit with a step-up ring to accommodate its 62mm threads. Work in progress...

Excellent Mod John,I've been hoping to figure out a way of using my small camera filters especially the polarizer for the tizzy.I keep looking at a way to mod a great Olympus C-series accessory called the Olycap but it's still in the *thinking* stage till I get a chance to fit it friday when the camera finally arrives..I'll post all workable results. As the photo shows, the Olycap has a tough rubber sleeve that fits like a glove on the C series,it won't slip off by accident eather.

Olycap
As far as adapting the Olycap..strike that idea, there's no room for a ring but I will try to fit it for the great lens cap it's intended to be.

What's the ID of that Olycap?

Inside Diameter, that is? My aerosol cap seems to be just about the perfect fit for the Tizzy lens bezel ring. I've taken it off and re-installed it several times and it seems to maintain its fit pretty well. I even mounted a TCON-17 on the contraption, and was able to take some 1.7X optical shots with the thing! Not to mention the macros I've taken with some Hoya +1, +2, +4 stackable macro lenses, the set I bought used for $15:
