    Question Printing 16:9

I just purchased a Panasonic TZ1 and have taken some pictures in 16:9 format. How do I print these so that I get the full picture without cutting off any of it?

It depends on your software how you will resize the photo, but you will have to first set 1 length(usually the 16 dimension) and the other will set itself. On most sizes of paper, though, just make the 16 dimension into the long dimension on the paper. You will then have white borders above and below the short(9) dimension.

    9/16 = h/w on the sheet of paper, so h = w*9/16

    For example on 8.5 x 11 paper prints out as h = 11*9/16 = 6.1875 (6.1875" x 11")

If you want to print on some unuasually long sheet of paper, such as roll paper, though, you will have to set the height first.

    16/9 = w/h on roll paper, so w = h*16/9

    For example on 4" roll paper, h = 4*16/9 = 7.111 (4" x 7.111")

Thanks. So how would I set the size of 6.1875" x 11" to print? I am using the programs that came with my TZ1.
