Panasonic FX9 or Canon SD630/Ixus 65?? Does anyone have either?

Hi everyone, I could really do with your help. I am going to buy a digital camera very soon and through my research I've narrowed it down to two choices.. The Panasonic Lumix FX9 and the Canon Powershot SD630 (Ixus 65 in UK).
Does anyone own these cameras and/or can anyone advise me which would be best??
I need something ultra-compact for convenience and my max budget is £250 ($400).
I know the Panasonic has Mega Optical Image Stabilisation, which is good especially since I plan to shoot a lot of movie clips as well as photos, but should I pay the extra £50 for the Canon with it's larger screen, more features and slightly better quality, even though there's no I.S?
If anyone can advise me which of these cameras would be best for good quality photos and video clips and whether O.S is necessary or if it's better to go for the Canon with larger display and extra features, is it worth the extra £50?
I know the review isn't up on this site yet for the Canon but it will be soon so I'll check it out asap. Thanks everyone!

I am using the FX9 which is my second digital camera. Sorry I am only an amature so can't give you a full breakdown on features and benifits, but for what it's worth i like mine very much...Here is DCR's review of the FX9 in case you have not found it yet.
