Which Slim Camera Should I Buy?

    Budget

    Around $250

    Size

So it could fit in like my front pocket. I am a student and want to carry it around everywhere easily.

    Features

Pixels: Around 4 or 5 megapixels. I really don't need that many.

    Zoom: Whatever. Not really important

Image Quality: Pretty important. I want decent pictures

I would like some manual controls. If not, oh well.

    General Usage

Use: Take random pictures. Nothing fancy

Not really making big prints. Regular sizes.

Photos will be a mix of indoor and outdoor. Really anything.

    No sports photos or that.

    Ultra Compact Camera

I am also looking for a ultra compact camera which fits into pocket.

This is a good page to start:

Which one from these would you recommend?

    Thanks.

Based on my own personal experience, the Pentax S5z would work very well, in view of your requirements. Here is a sample S5i shot.
