My day with E-330 at Olympus, Japan

I've uploaded an account of my visit to Olympus headquarters, Japan (yesterday) for the roll-out of the E-330. Some of you might be interested in the read and photos, so I'm posting it the link here, as well.

Norm in Fujino's Exellent Adventure with the New Olympus E-330, Including a Description of the Western Shinjuku District of Tokyo, and Photos Accompanying the Account.

A mobile telephone hawker in western Shinjuku, giving portable telephones away for "zero yen" in exchange for signing a telephone contract.

Great read Norm, with some really nice photos. You know, a camera with Olympus colors, a Canon sensor (for low noise), and KM built in AS would be just about perfect!

Thanks Jamison. Oly still has a ways to go to slay the noise dragon to the same degree as Canon, but I just hope they don't try to do it at the expense of resolution and color. And I'm kind of miffed they didn't give the E-330 the same digital image stabilization they gave to the new Stylus 810 --at least, I want to be miffed. I guess I'd better wait to see how well it actually works before making a judgment.

Good writeup Norm. Looks like Olympus is coming into the game even more than before.

Like Jamie said...it's too bad all these companies can't (read: won't) pull together and give us all their best features in one single lineup of cameras. But of course that would only make too much sense from the consumer standpoint...and no sense from the business aspect.
    Ouch.
