I spent 6 months in New Zealand for school in the early 90's. I had plenty of time to both watch and play Cricket and Rugby League.

Watched the State of the Origin game in '92...bloody. Also watched some kind of Cricket championship (I want to remember the "7 day tests"). Pretty dang cool. Much like American Baseball, it's a lot of waiting around for something to happen with a few bursts of excitement in between!

This is one from yesterday's quick test. It may be knocked around, but it's still plenty sharp - see how it has even picked up the small water droplets from the drizzle in the focus plane, unfortunately some detail is lost in the downsizing.

1/1250s f/2.5 on EOS-1D Mark II N. ISO 400.

I was out at the SCG on the 2nd for the first day. Not a lot of play; the great Glenn McGrath: World's No. 1 ranked fast bowler and leading test wicket taker among all pace bowlers, 539 Test Wickets.
