Looks like a dust spot.
Don't bother going back it's one of the joys of owning a DSLR. Look up threads or information about cleaning your sensor.
-
The greay thing is a rather big dust particle. The blue thing seems to be a ghost though, maybe it is one of the cats lifes it has lost?

Not yet. I still am not comfortable with dinking around in there yet. I am sure I will do so in the next little while. What would be helpful is a step by step tutorial on how to clean a D70.
-
trust me bud, if i did it u can, hell u LOOK handier than I.....
1. turn off camera and remove lens
2. put the mirror lock on, press shutter release
3. with the camera facing down, give a few blasts of digi blow so the particles fall out.....voila!!
4. turn off power, and the mirror lock resets..
I WAS VERY HESITANT TOO, BUT GOOD NOT HANDLE THE DUST NO MORE..
you can do it

dont be timid about cleaning your camera, if you are ever going to clean it do it now because you will have metal flecks in it when its new. this stops happening as much as the camera gets older.
