I was just reviewing some photos from the summer and stumbled across this pair that really show what the FZ20 lens can do. The shots are at wide angle and very close to full zoom. The wide view has been adjusted a little in PS to remove the effects of glare. I think I must have used a polariser on the wide angle shot as it has that dark sky effect - (only PS is NR to improve sky & crop (full height) to square to tidy the composition). Both were shot from around about the same place. I didn't fancy climbing the spiral staircase to the top - but I still managed to get a shot of my son up there. What a lens!!!!!!!
And I can do this without becoming food.
The original pix is even better. Some post processing (unsharp mask, brightness & contrast) - not that it really needed it.
BTW, those were not taken from my backyard. They were captive animals in glass enclosure.
But they were far away all the tele power and cam speed were needed.

These are great shots. You may want to do little PP to adjust the pictures.

Sorry if it looks like I hijack this thread - I simply appreiciate how great the zoom power of the cam.
Thanks Lovelife. Your touch up looks better. I did give them a touch of unsharp mask and curve but it was the fear of over processing them - as usual. My monitor is not calibrated...
