a couple of questions on Nikons
1. How does the Nikon D series (50, 70) compare with the analogue N/F series (55, 65, 75) in terms of image quality?
2. Will a cheap 18-55 DX lens that comes in a kit with D50 perform any better with the said D50 than a cheap 28-80 G lens (difference in focal length aside)?
3. Is it possible to get an international warranty for a Nikon camera in USA?
Thanks in advance,
Lukasz

1. Very well. Depends on what film and lens, but in general prints up to about 13 x 19 at 6MP-10MP digitals hold their own.
2. Since I haven't used the 28-80 G I can't say, but the 18-55 is the DX equivalent focal length (18-55 x 1.5 crop factor = 27-82.5). DX is Nikons designator for lenses made specifically for dSLR's.
3. You'll have to ask Nikon about that one.

As far as I have been able to find out Nikon warranties only apply in the country of purchase.
