    I have no idea what to buy.

    I went looking for a camera off and online all day today and come away with zip.

    Budget: $300 or less

    Size: Don't care

    Features: In order of importance, picture quality, speed and battery life for 2 AA

    Use: Outdoors, vacations, sporting events, some work taking pictures of auto wrecks and portraits or actions scenes.

    In no order in particular: AA size batteries, speed, very good image quality, under 300$: Canon PowerShot A610.
    Canon EOS 350D, Tamron SP AF 90mm F/2.8 macro, Sigma 18-50mm F2.8 DC EX, Canon EF 70-200mm f/4 L USM, Tokina AT-X124 Pro 12-24mm F4, Soligor 1.7x C/D4 DG Teleconvertor, Manfrotto 724B tripod, Canon Powershot S30

    Wow. You're good. Before I even saw this, that's the camera I went and bought, at Dell, for $230.16 after punching in all those codes. Not a bad deal, eh?
