    A510 # of pictures on a Card?

Just picked up a A510 for my gf for xmas, and am now going to grab a memory card when I can find one on sale.

What im curious though is size.
I heard that a 512MB SD card at the best reso and settings can (estimate) hold around 300 pictures, so a 256 would then only hold 150.

Now does the average person use the best settings for all pics?

Im debating wether a 256 card would suffice for now, or if I should just bite the bullet and grab a 512. I saw this on Amazon.com which doesnt sound so bad
    http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...&s=pc&v=glance
    and this

does brand name make a difference, or is memory just memory?

    Thanks!!

You would probably be better off with the 512 card and Kingston works very well with the A510. Check out buy.com http://www.buy.com/prod/Kingston_Tec.../10370495.html, it is cheaper than Amazon and just as reliable a store. It is a good idea to use the highest camera settings all the time as you have paid for the better camera so you should use what its capable of all the time.

I'm not sure you need this info, but get some good rechargeable batteries and a card reader if her comp doesn't have one built in. Good camera choice.
