Have not seen a thread for silhouettes. Winter came in yesterday. Experimenting in my living room and came up with this one. Geese have been flying overhead migrationg south. Enjoy Carla

That's a nice idea - I will be away - hopefully I will have the camera with me - in a weeks time. I will watch out for silhouete oportunities... along
with Panorama oportunities, and Building skylines, and Landscapes, and
people, and ...and...
BTW - do you have any manual controls or adjustments on your current
camera???
Just a thought - with a silhouete like that first one - I might go to the
window first and get an outside reading and leave the camera set to expose for that, that way the veiw outside doesn't wash out because of the dark
forground. Alternatively you can experiment with under exposure - a pic like that would need at least -1.0 ev probably more.

Beautiful shots guys esp like Sedona JTL that Cannon really does colour well. Here's a couple of "nearly" silhouettes from the Grand Canyon from me. They are just straight out of the camera the second one was just cropped a little to get rid of some distracting foreground.
