lenses for A80

I'm new to photography,and I recently purchased a canon powershot A80,and i'm planning to buy a tele converter,but the one canon offers for the camera is a 1,75x magnifying lens (DC52A),is it possible to mountanother 52mm lenses with greater magnification on the 52 mm adapter(DC52D),will it work??,and what's the brand or type of lenses should i use??..thanks

You should try Lensmate.com. Their converters are far better than Canon's, and they posted a lot of info that would be usefull for you!
