'super zoom' camera
First of all I apologize my bad English.
I own a FujiFilm F10 Camera and bought this camera because of the positive feedback here at the forum.
I'm very pleased with the F10 but I do miss more zoom when photographing my kids.
Can anyone give me some advice on a 'super zoom' camera. I like the body of the Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ30 and the Canon PowerShot S2 IS but I'm no expert in 'super zoom' camera's and need some advice in this.
THANKS IN ADVANCE.

Sorry,
I overlooked the '12x zooooom, canon, sony or substitute' thread so I will jump in that one.

There is nothing wrong with your English.
The pros and cons of ultra-zoom have been discussed and debated again, again and again to death in this forum.
The contenders: Canon PowerShot S2 IS, Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ5, FZ20, Sony H1, and many new comers such as Kodak 850... Panasonic FZ30 is larger and offers more controls.
If you look into previous threads (be sure to go to previous pages too), not just '12x zooooom, canon, sony or substitute' there should be enough for you to make a decision.

Thanks tim11,
Just from the looks I really like the FZ30, also I like the zoom ring very much.
I will look into the previous threads.

FZ30 should be a good choice for more serious photography without going into DSLR. Some people compare FZ30 to the likes of FZ5, S2 IS. etc. but personally I put it a class above them. It has zoom ring, manual focus ring, hot shoe, RAW format, bigger (almost twice the weight to the 2 mentioned).
Personally, the only camera I consider as direct competitor to FZ30 is Fuji FinePix S9000. S9000 has ISO1600 so more capable in low light no flash situations. FZ30 has longer zoom. Many more features that you can put up and compare head to head.
If you have been reading many ultra zoom posts you would have noticed noise issue on FZs cameras. If noise is a an issue then you should look further into it.
For owners opinion on FZ30 go to Panasonic forum. There are a few threads that should be beneficial to you.
Good luck.
