    Hey,

Great shots everyone. Here's my humble contribution, please excuse the quality as this is a film print scanned on a cheap flatbed, but I hope you get the idea of the photo. This was taken on a (not very busy) ferry dock on the Hudson River in New York, and that's the Bear Mountain Bridge in the background. Camera: Nikon F100, Nikon 24-85mm with Hoya polarizer to bring out the contrast/color in the sky and dock. Comments/criticism always welcome, hope you like

    Tower Bridge

This is a portion of the Tower Bridge in Sacramento, CA. There is a resturant, The Rio City Cafe, just upstream from it with a deck overlooking the Sacramento River. I need to find a good small program to resize pics for posting so I don't have to use PhotoShop all the time.

Here is a link to a site with several links on it. Scroll down to the section called "More Software" and you will find a program called
"ReducePhotoSize 1.1" This is a simple tool that I use all the time to e-mail photos and to post photos at DCRP. The best part is that it is free.

    Smile Tower Bridge

Thanks zdzislaw, I have pretty good access to the bridge and also different poi nts of view if I take my kayak. Although I'm kind of uncomfortable taking pictures of bridges or even buildings, what with security concerns in the world now. The picture you just posted is full of detail and color. This looks like something you could go to and spend quite a bit of time with capturing all the details of this beautiful bridge. Thank's to all for the picture resizing suggestions.

    Cool out with camera...

    hi valleykayaker,

    thanks for your kind words,
i like the way you frame your work,
i understand your consern, it is getting more unpleasent to keep shooting freely,
back in my film days had 6x6 with 180mm, sweet thing, and loved to catch faces with it, specially kids, nowdays allready forgot about it, (only people that now me well,)
sometime in town at night hour you cope some funny faces,
once security approched me ,(it was next to a war monument,)for a split of a second i was thinking of smashing the crap out of him,(could allways saved my memory cards, would not do it with film camera thoy) lucklly i came down and diffused the situation by counting back from ten,it was stupid the whole thing, but i did not feel blessed talking to that particular halfwit,
all good for a time been,
    the same bridge,
been under renovation for commonwealth games in melbourne,
almost forgot, friend of mine got kayak for christmas(from his woman),
at the end of the week will find out how he goes,
    keep well
    kind regards
    zdzislaw
