Similar shot a bit earlier but from the other side when there was a little more light. Can't decide which I like best. Probably should have cropped out the painting cage on the RHS though on this one.

Phill, the 2nd one is much better for color alone. If you stop down then those lights will turn into starbursts. Nice shots.

Phill D, I actually prefer the first shot, the near monochrome treatment, with the stunning contrast between the lit road-surface of the bridge and the surrounding darkness of night, is fairly dramatic.

Here is another shot of Sydney Harbour Bridge, from Campbells Cove, The Rocks:

Thanks guys I was quite pleased with the way they turned out. Yes a starburst effect would have been cool Lukas. Not sure how I'd have done it though as the TZ1 is only automatic. The exposures were using the night scene mode and a well positioned wall for support. Hmm I need to have a think if it's possible to get the TZ to stop down at night you've got me thinking now.

Well its been a long while, both for this thread and since I posted any photos anywhere, below a few bridge shots taken on the 14JUN09:

Glebe Island Bridge, permanently open to traffic, i.e. shipping, making way from Johnstons Bay, Darling Harbour into Rozelle & Blackwattle Bays:

Community Bridge - Frederick, MD USA

A couple pictures of the Community Bridge in Frederick, MD. This bridge is of particular interest to photographers due to its unique finish.
