    Great picture, Kushnirenko. I think you have taken a picture of the remains of the ice that covered the river in the winter. This part has frozen onto the column of the bridge. Because the rest of the ice has melted, the water level of the river has declined (because the density of ice is smaller than that of water and perhaps because the snow in the mountains has not started to melt yet) resulting in this part haning quite some distance above the river. Really nice phenomenon. Haven't seen that before, but then again, the climate hear does not allow things like that.

    Be easier!
    In Kharkiv the rivers very small. Therefore there is a dam which increases a water level. Actually in Kharkiv not the rivers, and a pond.
    To the beginning of spring a water barrier lift. That ice floes has not damaged a dam.

    hmm... I hadn't thought of that. Once again, I'm wrong .

    Here's another bridge picture, it is a somewhat more primitive bridge than most in this thread....
