Is there a Compact like this?

I have an old A40 Canon 2 mp and am ready for an upgrade. I want a really nice 5-8 meg camera with a large zoom, and I want a compact to carry in my pocket and catch that "spur of the moment" shot. I cannot afford both now. So I decided to go with a nice compact for now. Here are my ideas for specs.. is there such a thing available?

4-5 mp resolution
3-4x optical zoom
SD or CF memory cards
Easy charging and transferring to both PC and Mac
Small and rugged
Best pics for the size and fast "shutter speed"

Go check out the pentax 750z it is a 7 mp camera with 5x optical zoom, flip out LCD and it has that cool retro look. Sweet camera check it out

Thanks for the recommendation! The only drawback I see in the user reviews is the slow speeds.. 1 fps in continuous. But the pic quality all agree is very good.
I've heard some good things about the Canon S500. It's small enough for pockets, but prett decent pic quality.

I also just read the specs on the New Canon SD300, it looks good, Comes out in November. I think I'll wait to see it. Looks like what I'm looking for, very small and has a lot of options.
