Nice shot - and welcome to this thread, I haven't spotted you before - so consider your hand firmly shaken.
How did you join the pics - did you use Olympus's in camera stitching or do it yourself??
Geoff
Thanks Geoff Chandler
I'm shot panoram in PANORAMA mode (MENU -> CAMERA -> PANORAMA).
Stitching in CAMEDIA Master software.
Kushnirenko, I was wondering how long before a vertical panorama
appeared. & thanks for those contributions - very nice.
I am also interested to know what quality/ size people use when creating
pano shots. If I were to take a seies of, say, 5 shots at 8mp - that could
potentially creat a 40mp picture - although with the overlap it could well be half that
- but still a hefty 20mp - this is hard to manipulate on a pc without at least a GB of RAM
Next time I try - I reckon I will go down to 2 or 3 MP size and take 3 - 5
only and see how I do with that.
Geoff.

In this post I'm start some advices for shoting panoram.
I hope, my advice help Yours create panoram shot.
But sorry for my very little english
When we a shot panoram - image can be cylidrical.
Software what stitch shots transform image.
More view angle - more image transformed.
View angle depend of Focal Length (Zoom).
Next 3 images shots in diference Focal Length (Equivalent to a 35 mm camera): 38 mm; 65 mm; 118 mm.
Most didgital cameras have minimal Focal Length equivalent to approx. 35 mm on a 35 mm camera.
Therefore I recomend shot images for panoram using zoom factor 1.5-2.5.
Kushnirenko - excellent panoramas and some good advice. The night time one in the snow is my favourite.
Looking at the few panoramas I have taken & posted so far they seem to fit in with some of your tips so I was just lucky I guess. Must get out & try a few more.
It's a shame that posting on this site makes the shots so small, as one of the joys of panoramas is to zoom in & go roving over the image it really give you the feeling of being there in a good shot. If anyone knows an easy way to post thumbnnails here that link to larger images for panorama shots it would be good for viewing.
Around every picture there's a corner & round every corner there's a picture
- the fun's in finding them
