The picture Raven is referring to looks like the walkway west out of Union Station.

USBank, tallest building in LA, which employs photo-nazis to prevent any photos, including a tourist family group shot in front of the landmark waterfall/Bunker Hill steps. Bastards.

    SpecialK,

Why in the world does USBank care if people take photos of their place?

Reminds me of a time I got in trouble in front of the Central African Republic Embassy on Embassy Row in Washington D.C. 8 years ago. The Ambassador himself came storming out of the house and was giving me the what-for about taking pictures of his Embassy. Scared the cr@p out of me... I was by myself and wishing I wasn't, although my two friends were hanging out on a park bench a few blocks away... within screaming distance, maybe.

Anyway, the Ambassador couldn't understand why I was taking photos of the embassies, was very suspicious of me, and I just said over and over again I was a tourist and liked the different flags. We were on friendly terms in the end and he gave me his business card for some odd reason. I sent him a post-card from my hometown when I got back there. An encounter I'll never forget.

Other than they think I'll be selling the pictures or something, I have no idea.

Keep in mind this was on the 4th of July - the USA birthday - which is a major national holiday when banks and post offices, etc, are closed.

It is almost impossible to park and get around easily in Los Angeles on a normal week day, much less a weekend, so that was the reason I went downtown on a holiday Friday. Normally, pictures on the street would be full of cars. Except for this bastard-building, all was great.

Once I was taking pictures of my friends mother to sell at school. My friends father came out yelling, much like the ambassador. Bastards, all of them.
