~and this building ( centre of shot) is a landmark in Croydon -
has been re-named quite a bit - was nicknamed the 'Threepenny bit building' up until 1971 (decimalisation in UK).

In South Croydon - there is a well known and historically well covered pub called 'The Swan and Sugar Loaf' : -

great shots Mr. Chandler! That last one really makes me want to visit your little part of the world.

i was on the National Mall in DC and walked down to the end, crossed the street, and took a (hand held!) picture of this possibly-famous structure.

Was sunrise shooting at the Copia in Napa, CA when I saw this across the parking lot. I still need to go back and find out what the building is.

Although this is just part of a building I hope this counts. In Collinsville, CT I saw this building from a parking lot across the street. Zoomed in to 3X in order to cut out neighboring structure and power lines. I'm not sure what it was but another view can be seen in the "Reflections" thread.

Oriental Pearl TV Tower - Shanghai

Since we don't seem to have many members from China, I will pitch-in.

Here is an interesting structure. Maybe not so much a building as a tower...

...well there is a building at the base.

From my last trip to China.

On my way to pick up my wife from work this morning, this building was screaming at me to take its picture.
