I thought I'd share something a little different. I don't normally photograph things like this but it was taken as part of my new years resolution. I want to shoot more consistently throughout the year as well as expand my skills and portfolio in several areas. I hope you like it, but if you don't feel free to say so.

    Lukas,

I like the colors, but not sure it grabs me in any particular way. I do find the No Parking sign strangely out of place since the point of view seems that the sign would be at least 2 stories off the ground.

Cityscapes are tough to shoot especially at sunrise. That said, better than most of my tries. The first shot is interesting as Ken noted, but I'm not sure that a long exposure works at that position in the second, as the passing car lights seem more like distortion. The lights in the background turned out great.

It takes some "hair" to stand in the middle of the street in The Mission.

I was standing on the sidewalk where it T's at Embarcadero. I'm not crazy! I have it without the car blur as well, but I decided on this one to fill of the dead patch in the bottom of the photo. Thanks for sharing your thoughts.

ROFL! You should have said: "yes, it was a harrowing experience". "But you know we risk it all... for the shot"

I know that spot, by the Larkspur Ferry and should have recognized the Hotel. It's been a while since I was in The City.

3rd and King is about as close as I get anymore.

There's some interesting architecture in Federation Square, Melbourne, where I'm presently on holiday. Taken with my Panasonic TZ1 and pp'd on my netbook with its tiny 10.1" display, so I apologise if it appears crappy on your screen.

    Sir Les,

Looks like a fitter and welder's nightmare getting that structure right.
