This barely qualifies as a building, but...

Peace Park in Hiroshima. The building in the background is A-bomb Dome. It was only a few hundred feet from ground zero. The monument in the foreground is a cenotaph containing all the names of the people killed in the blast.

That is a nice monument. I wonder if it is possible to get further back and use a longer lens?

GabrielC and Special K... Nice (and interesting) shots. I agree with Geoff on the night shot... an instant classic. Geoff, that is definately a postcard shot. I'll be down home (Monterey) next weekend and plan to do a shoot of Cannery Row.

Here is a shot that I took a few months ago... sorry if this is a repeat, but it made a great 10 x 14 print.

This area has a lot of movie history... and it's a great drive (up Hwy 88 in the Superstitions and Apache Junction area east of Phoenix). I'm hopng to get a bunch of these up on my Smugmug site soon. After living in AZ for 6 years it's nice to be back home, but there are some great photo ops in the desert... Sadona, Flagstaff, Williams, and The Canyon... I will go back for a visit.

    Hi Geoff, thanks...

Yup the D70 is tried and true. Bought a D80, but it didn't like the Sigma's, so I sold it.

The next camera will be a D700... once I achieve full-time employment again. I had a chance to use a freinds D700 and was hooked.

About the only additional feature I need right now is sensor cleaning... I see a speck on sky shots. Time to lock up the mirror and dive in again.

A 3" LCD would also be handy...
