    E550 + 1Gb XD

    hey

does E550 support 1 Gb XD cards (not the M-series)? some webpages say it does, some say it doesnt. fuji homepage said that software upgrades are available for some cameras but didnt specify any.

if this topic is already been discussed then sorry

    many thanks, m

    well

for those who have the same question. i bought 1 Gb M series XD and it works. so, this might have been a problem for older 550-s but not any more.

    cheers

Does your 1gb card give you any problems when shooting video? I've heard that this capacity, since it may not be officially supported, can sometimes cause errors or increased processing time.

"interruption of movie recording at 640 x 480 pixels and/or increased processing times"

    Thanks,

E550 supports 1GB xD Type M according to website

According to their website, the E550 supports the 1GB xD Type M card.

That being said, I got one and it's (a) sucking batteries like no ones business and (b) giving occasional data read errors where pictures should be. I'm going to contact Fuji to determine whether this is a bad card or an overall issue.
