Sorry to bring up an age old comparison. I currently own a FZ15 and after getting to know my camera better I've realized how important the hot shoe really is!
As far as I'm concerned I see two...
I agree 110%. I also chose the 15 over the 20 for the exact same reasons. To be honest I had a Canon G2 w/ the hotshoe and I never used it.
chances are if you had 2 identical pics printed on a 8x10 sheet of paper from both cameras you might not be able to tell the difference.
Btw, I LOVE my FZ15 :p
my kittah, this pic happened so fast. My apologies for the exposure.

Secondly, someone suggested I...
In that case look at the monopods instead of a regular tripod. I've seen some really nice ones that also double as a walking stick.
Btw, paying over $100 for something thats only going to hold...
1. I want to be able to hyperlink images to message boards/ebay.
2. I do not care about buying prints.
3. Cosmetically appealing would be nice but not a must.
4. I would like to have the option...
my dirty lil terrier
almost all tripods are universal. Just make sure whatever you decide to buy has a hotshoe/quick release. Are you located in the US? If so then check out your local Target store. I bought my 60"...
Nice pics! But the lens flare on the last pic is naaaasty. :o
Can this be done??? I would to see a write up on this please!
that is a beautiful shot!
