    Noticed this too, straightening an image is very easy and also getting rid of dust spots is alot quicker using ACR. It sucks you have to preform extra work to make the pictures look correct or better...

    If you use ACR you can set the camera calibration...

    If you use ACR you can set the camera calibration and change saturation to what you like, this turned my dull raw photos into the vibrant colors you get with jpeg. Not sure if this is the best way...
