Thanks, It was done in Paint Shop Pro 9 with the smudge tool, but it could also be done in Photoshop.
I love the second one, I had to see what it looked like in a smudge painting. Hope you don't mind. :)
There's some really neat shots there. It looks like chaos with some birds within inches of each other. It's amazing they don't run into each other, because they don't look that smart, lol.:D

I think it's possible to get results that are close to what Bonjib achieved in raw, but there will be more noise and the dynamic range in the scene won't look as good as the raw example.
