So I had some free time tonight.... I decided to Compare my G11 to 40D with a 17-55mm Lens.
The results were not quite what I expected... on a side note, the white balance on the G11 seems to be...
-
I noticed something similar today with my G11 and a sold purple color. Just Shot raw and set the color tone to 4, it turns purple...
-
I read all the reviews multiple times, my eyes were bleeding.. anyway. I chose the G11 due to it's slightly sharper image quality when viewed at 100% due to the better lens, and the better battery...

I'm having a issue with windows 7 and the color management. It looks very different from my windows xp setup with the exact same monitor settings. Does anyone have any info on this?
-
I love them all, except the last one.. it just doesn't fit.

I can hand hold my 18-55mm 3.5-5.6 IS at 1/6 to 1/10 can get a sharp result. What can I expect from a 24mm f1.4 lens? Will it at least match my other lens or beat it?
-
Well.. Getting a new camera won't make you a better photographer.. First tip.. shot raw.. Second Tip.. Shot landscape... Third tip.. use the center focus point.. fourth tip.. The Default settings on...

The 18-55mm II IS has equal if not better optical quality than the 17-55mm.. of course it's not 2.8F, but the image quality isn't great at 2.8F.. If I were you I'd get the new 18.55mm II IS with a...

I always shoot raw... But going through 300 pictures to fix white balance isn't fun... They are just way to warm... I read that camera's like the D300 don't do that and nail it every time, is that...

Canon xsi crappy White Balance? Maybe I don't know how to use the camera?
My Canon SD1100IS on auto is always perfect.. the XSI is WAY TO WARM.. I have to adjust every single picture! Am I missing...

Canon XSI 12.3MP
3:2 ratio
4x6 prints
Staples supreme photo paper
I printed through windows picture viewer
350 dpi
My display it probably not calibrated..
I think the issue is the camera.....

I had my first shoot this weekend, everything went better than I expected. I Adjusted all the pictures until they looked as perfect as possible to be. So I decided to print some sample for the...
-
I must thank you for the time you took to give me detail advice.. the event is this sunday. I can shoot at 1600 iso and do minor noise reduction later.. I rather shoot 800iso which on the xsi is...

I have to admit, I really don't know much about using a flash... I seldom use it and when I do, I don't like the results... Thank you all for your responses...
-
Oh yeah.. I know it's overkill, but I want a low light indoor lens.. for business and personal use
-
I'm going to photograph a baptishm and I'm nervous about it.. I have this issue were I see dust on the lens and I go crazy to clean it.. Does it really make a difference.. I get sick over it...
-
The are very similar. I have the SD850. If you think your DSLR has bad low-light indoor performance, then well you'll be shocked out bad these are. Don't get my wrong, I love my SD850 but when it...
-
I just realized something, and I'm not sure quite to make of it.. My Canon SD850 IS is 180 dpi, The Nikon D40x is 300 dpi and so the D300. For the first time I checked the dpi of my xsi images and...
-
This problem is widespread... Shame on canon.. My 18-55 kit lens has one dust particle in it.. but it's only worth $180 bucks... if I got a lens for $1,000 and had dust in it, I'd be furious... I...
-
yeah I got a knot is my stomach when I saw the Canon 40D had 100,000 clicks and the xti had 50,000 clicks... I hope it was a typo or something...
-
My advice to you is to try out both the xsi and 40D... the xsi feels bigger than the nikon D40... that's for sure.. With the price pretty close between the 40D and xsi.. the 40D may suit you better...
-
I suggest the Canon xsi.. Your nikon D40 is a great camera.. But when it comes to 1600 ISO shooting in low light the xsi kills the D40... The menu system is also great and easy to use. I would look...
