Today I noticed by looking at the LCD screen that my RAW files were affected by changing the parameters in exactly the same way as JPEG files are.
But I had learnt that there is no in camera...

yeah, thanks for the idea. The windows one is good for the Jpegs but it won't red the RAWs (.CR2) so it won't transfer them.
Any other ideas?

I really want some software that can simply transfer files from a memory card reader without adding them into some extra folder and also can transfer the 350d/rebel xt raw files (CR2)

Thanks D Thompson, it did turn out that deleting the Canon Folder did not remove the program totally, something I needed to do in Add/Remove Programs.
However I still can't open The RAW converter...

I am very excited to finally own the 350d and the 2 days of using it so far have been really enjoyable, however I have a few questions/worries:
1. When I try and autofocus with the kit lens on...

I really want to buy the Canon 100mm f2.8 macro for my soon to be 350d to take lots of close up pictures. How important is a macro flash, what difference will I see, could someone do a comparison...

Thanks to all for the comments, I am now very excited about buying the XT but one question remains: Black or Silver?
I am wavering towards silver although I know many say the black is more...

Things have changed a little, and I now reckon I have about £1000 to spend on the body and lenses and accessories.
I can get a very good deal from america for the Xt with the kit lens and tons of...

. . . . I would have very little money to spend on lenses. Like no more than £250. (wich is about $450).
So I would have to go for cheap lenses but I want:
A long reach of 250mm with fast AF...

Not long ago I was set on buyng the S2 ASAP but now I'm not so sure. THere are a few things that are worrying me, should they be?
At the moment I own a hp 935 which I bought about 3 months ago...

I''m 99% certain that the number will not be reset to 1 by any means.
Even if you change the memory card or delete any pictures the number will always show you how many times the shutter has been...

I can't see them :(
Any idea why?

I've found out quite a lot of info about some Raynox lenses.
I've learnt that the Wide angle 6600 is a little soft and casts a flash shadow but has barely any barrel distortion and is quite wide...

Thanks everyone for your info, especially bigrig as those links are very helpful.
I think I am going to get a polarizer as cutting glare looks useful, and I'm guessing it protects the lens a bit....
