I think you should go with the SD400 of Canon.

Its fast as fast can be and small aswell. And a 2inch LCD screen, and good (the usual canon) image quality.

Taken with my new Powershot S410 with thee auto settings, just turned of the flash. Didnt see i was taking the shots in 22xx resolution something so I scaled them down to 640 something them in GIMP....

I am someone (definitly not an expert) but I would suggest A95 because the A520 is slow, it takes 10 seconds to recycle the flash and be able to shot another picture they say. It also focuses slowly...

I dont think a95 is so compact so you can have it with you where ever you go, perhaps the dsc-w7 whould fit better there it seems from the photos of w1 on the review page of it its smaller than a95....

I think a webcam whould do the job better...
