When you say trim, do you mean 'cropping' photos in camera?
If so I wouldn't mind the instructions being posted here too, or a link to where you did, I've never tried it before.
As for the...
We'll I'm not sure where the spoon or little dog that laughed, but there is a TV DISH and cat in this photo.
(don't tell me...
I've recently bought one too
I'd be happy to share what I have found about this camera recently,
one of the interesting things,
I have an fz50 camera, and don't notice any difference at high F stops, as long as your have an exposed image your evf should look good.
It only uses the high F stop when you 1/2...
You can see a few galleries of photos taken with the Fz50,
The ones that open full screen with a picasa logo at the top are taken with the fz50. (except 1/2 the fall photos...
One other thing that you can do is leave it in manual mode, and press the focus button to focus on that object, once you release the focus button, it won't adjust the focus no matter where you point...
I started with Contrast to low,
and Noise reduction on high,
Shooting mostly iso 100 you don't notice much difference with the noise reduction, but at higher iso, it's better to have it on low,...
some tips from how I've learned to handle the camera.
for Manual Focusing
I much prefer focus assist mode 2 in the camera setup for manual focusing, it's very easy to use, and you can use the...
It was requested on another thred some low light shots, and high ISO shots from the fz50.
Not mucking around with settings, here is a review of the shots....
Though do remember that all these images have been re-sized down, and are not 100% crops. (though I haven't done any post editing)
Noise Ninja is your friend, though the silky pix program is not...
Hello there again,
Here is a low light review,
I didn't spend a lot of time working out the best exposure settings, or even finding the best way to deal with the noise, just shot the pictures....
I'm going to try and get some right now,
should have some for you in under an hour,
maybe even sooner!
Sure' I'll try and get some of those up for you.
I don't live near a city, so city lights aren't really a possiblity, unfortunately.
I like the ones dcresource do of the city.
Dpreview has a detailed review on the camera, if you want one now,
I just like the dcresource writeups too.
It's not too hard to find it on dpreview.com
But I'm glad you liked the photos, I...
So how do you cut down lense flare when shooting straight into the sun?
well ok, maybe not straight into the sun, but with the sun in the picture.
I have had some fairly bad lense flare with my...
I'm having a bit of trouble invisioning how I'd do that, as I live in the back sticks of welch, WV.
I have water and colorful liquids, I could use at high iso sensitivities in the...
I think you've seen the high quality shot of that cat on the other thread, but if you haven't here is a link to it, untouched, straight out of the camera....
Where was the last one taken at?
Your last post is convincing me to go to 2 polarisers, I think!
But my question is has anyone tried it first?
I'd like to see if 2 polarisers are actually...
Ok, so I'm trying to combine both sets of advise,
What is I buy a hoya PL (I am assuming that is the good brand on recommendation)
and a ND4 filter.
Is that going to cause me any troubles,
Well, Thanks for the complements on the shots,
Here's some more photos (notice they are all in the same local)
But with a new camera it's amazing what becomes interesting.
I find that the...
I appreciate the heads up about the link, it should be fixed now, I was looking for ND filters, but the idea of stacking Pl Polarisers sounded better.
I liked the idea of adjusting the light that...
This is me at it again, and yes, ok so I sort of got ink all over the dark room, but it sure was fun! (using an external flash on a lead)...
I'd like to know when they are going to review the Fz50
I have one, and quite like it,
And it's actually the first camera I bought before reading, and studing the dcresource review on it.
After reading this descussion,
I want to know if the $10 ones on e-bay are any good,
I'd like the be able to block some more light,
mainly for making waterfalls have the silky look.
My Lense Hood has sadly been misplaced,
And the camera is quite succeptable to lense flare (more than my minolta was)
However the lense cap,
is an item that can be ordered directly from...
