That last one is great! The composition just plain works. :)

Haha no you really can't. :p My sister was adopted 9 years ago and it took literally years for all the paperwork to be completed and sent to all the right parties. But it was definitely worth it. ;)

now THAT'S wide angle!
:D

Great shots! Looks like an awesome show. It's always fun when people are open enough to dance.
-
God I love that shot! Do you mind if I display it on another site? Could I possibly link it to something (gallery/website/etc.) of yours?
-
Looks like a bat to me. And a different angle, not reversed pics.

If I had a million dollars...:rolleyes:D

The D80 has a reputation for overexposure. I also keep mine between -0.7 to -1.3 when shooting outdoors. The meter is my really only gripe with the D80. At least with my old camera I could trust the...

Great shot Brian! And creative use of the watermark too. :)

Thanks! Well to be completely honest the secret was probably the curves tool in photoshop :p. But the exif was 1/320 sec. at f/8, ISO 320.
As you can see, the original doesn't have the same...

Maybe it's a "so-bad-it's-good" kind of thing?

It looks like flash ghosting to me. Check to see if there is dust on your lens.
In simple terms what's happening is the bright flash of light from the flash is reflecting [refracting?] on the...

Thanks to everyone who answered my questions, it definitely helped a lot.
Unfortunately you're all going to have to hold my hand on this one. How do I save my RAW files right off the card? When I...

Welcome! This forum is truley an invaluable wealth of information so enjoy it. I as well hope to see some of your photos!

Awesome photos as always, Jon. The color and exposure are just great. :)
I'm just a little curious though, what's it about food that makes it so enjoyable for you to photograph it?
-
Hey everyone. I know RAW format has been discussed in depth a lot on the forum but I can't seem to find answers to my couple basic questions so I hope you don't mind another thread on the topic.
I...

Exactly. I went to Radio Shack with a couple friends to buy a cheap microphone so we'd at least have someting to use and all we had was a 20 dollar bill...turns out the cheapest mic was $19.99. I bet...

Yeah I totally understand. I've had a lot of trouble choosing between color and black + white versions of photos I shoot. For example...

It's funny how some pictures get swallowed up by the rest of the thread and never get commented on. *wink wink* :p
But anyway! I love that one r3g. Those types of pictures have always fascinated...

Haha you're right! I love the effect a good black and white image has but I also liked that color image.
And just for the record, you meant it as a good thing right? :p
