I am quite pleased with the 17/2.8 - very nice walk-around lens and not bad outdoors in the evening (obviously not as fast as the Panasonic 20/1.7). Here is another one from Grand Place in Brussels....

Yes, I have got the E-P1 also with the kit zoom and the 17/2.8 and agree - it's certainly a great camera (even though I haven't used it a lot - yet). During easter it will hopefully get some...

15-26 degrees C? Just a little bit on the disgusting side :)
I came home from a two day business trip to Norway yesterday. They still have a lot of snow also in the Oslo area. At least we don't...

Last sunday we thought that spring was here at last - and then it started to snow again.
Snowdrops following their name. (Olympus E-P1, 14-42mm at 29 mm, 1/60, F/4.7)

Last week I was in Brussels on business and took the EP-1 out for a walk before dinner. This is from the old town square - Grand Place.
EP-1, 17 mm 2.8 at 2.8, 1/30s, ISO 1250. OOC JPEG with a...

An old oil lamp I got from an uncles of mine more than 40 years ago. I was told it was found in the ruins of Karthago. Not totally impossible as my uncle had worked for several years in Tunesia at...

The largest camera I have used was the Mamiya-C220. A TLR for 120 film with interchangeable lenses. I used it (sparsely) arround 1980 - 1985. It was a perfect portrait and also a good landscape...

Other cameras I have used includes - in the rangefinder format - the Ricoh 500G. A very nice, capable, and easy handled little fixed lens camera. 40 mm F 2.8 lens, good rangefinder, both automatic...

Could a thread with "portraits" of cameras we have used be fun?
I will start with the oldest camera I have used (well not much - only a couple of films) - the Kiev 4 classic rangefinder. See also...

The oldest camera I own (and have used a few times) is the Kiev 4 - a post WWII Soviet produced rangefinder made with the tools from the pre WWII Contax factories. I bought the camera on an auction...

From the north-west coast of Zeeland, Denmark in late March 2005 with my old Canon A95. ISO 50, f/8, 1/1250. Cropped and a little sharpen in Aperture 2.

I hope soon to be back with some...

Thanks Ken. Yes, I do miss the TLR style now and then - especially for the "slower" kind of photography. The waist level finder with a loupe for fine tuning was quite addictive :)
But the PEN is...

Lamy fan? - sure! In fact the 2000 and the Linea are worn out. The Safari is my primary pen today (with a little alternate time given to the cheap Parker).

Hi! Room for someone new to Olympus, but rather old to photography?
I just got my first Olympus - E-P1 - this week after years of Canon SLR and DSLR (before that Rolleiflex and Voigtländer SLR's,...
